Please Login to Remove!

I been reading and nitice that many people had there 8700 brick or what aver thats call after installing a software on a 4.1 OS because I read that if the software is made for a 4.2 and install on a 4.2 it will damage the phone .... so where my question ... is there a list of games software for the 4.2 OS?

Thanks

and one more question ... can I "save pages as" HTML and view them on my 8700 with out a Internet service ... i mean can I save them and send the info via USB or BT to my 8700?

Thanks

No, I don't know of a list such as that. Many third party applications will work on both platforms. Hopefully the one you choose will state if there is a difference.

For you second question on sending files to your 8700 via BT or USB, no.

I have OS ver 4.2 on mine and it works fine... Came installed on it... And I don't do gaming but it seems to me that the 8700 isn't really designed to game very well... other that say blackjack or simple games.

I've never tired to save an html page and view it off line on my BB... I do copy text into Outlook Notes on my PC then when they show up on my BlackBerry, I copy them and use them.. paste them into emails of posts.....

Thanks Karen and sanders

The reason I'm asking is because I'm afraid to install anything on my BB since I install a theme that bick my BB ... I had to pay 40 bucks to get it fix ....... I have a 4.2 but had a 4.1 which gave me a problem

I will say to you.... GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!

It is not extremly difficult, even more if you can write a post in this forum. It will make things SUPEREASY!!!!

My advice, install OS 4.5, it has a lot of new features, you will get the most from you BB. I have my BB with 4.1 and BBForums help me to upgrade. First to 4.2 then 4.5.
Free of charge and without get in out of my home.

of course that is my advice,

GoodLuck!!!!!!!

Loading OS 4.2 or higher on the device prevents you from having this problem. Just upgrade your device and problem is solved.
