hey guys, only had this for a day now so im still tryna figure it out, anyway i thought id make a thread with my questions and hopefully you guys can answer them. thanks!

First off, sometimes when im using my text messaging (sms) if i have a low signal, it will have an x beside the message in my inbox and say network problems in the description. the thing is it still sends the message, but it will stay in my inbox cluttering it up, is there anyway to autohide these "unsent" messages? or just have them not show up at all. i dont wanna have to manually delete them everytime

2nd, i have the gps on this phone, but im not a telus data plan. Can i use the phone as a standalone gps for my laptop? without having to use any data, just the phone gps itself

2nd, this is my first blackberry. is there a guide or something i can read up on these things? as far as pins and that stuff go.

im gonna assume a pin is like an email unique to each phone?

im sorry but there was not a single ****ing manual in my box that explained any of this stuff

Welcome to the BBForums.

1. Hide unsent messages: not a way I know of. A simple delete works for me.

2. Not that I am aware of. Would be cool, but I have not seen that ability to send the GPS signal from the BB to a laptop either via Bluetooth or USB.

3. a. Our FAQ, the best place to start.

b. Any of the Sticky Notes at the top of the many sections of this forum.

I bet there was a single PDF manual file on the CD you got with your BB, if you purchased it new.

hey thanks, sorry about the language.

anyway, i figured out how to hide the messages that dont send. basically if you go to your sms and hit ALT-I it will show only incoming msgs. now is there anyway to have it go to this incoming screen default everytime i click sms? cause if i go through the applications menu it automatically takes me back to the "Sms" folder where it just groups everything together

Sorry I lost it I thought you were trying to rid your inbox of sent messages. I'll do some more research for you :( I've only been a blackberry for a number of months.
