Default Midlet access internet through BIS (no APN)

Please Login to Remove!

I have an 8700 blackberry and I can browse the internet with the browser that already comes with OS 4.2, even if I don't configure the APN.
My carrier is Movistar Argentina.

However I have a java application (a Midlet, I also have it's source code) that needs to access the internet (some webservice). If I configure the APN with internet.gprs.unifon.com.ar user wap/ pass wap the midlet seems to work, but if I don't configure any APN the midlet doen't connect to the webservice.

But accessing the internet through the APN isn't included in the fixed mensual cost for internet from the blackberry, so I would like to know if there is a way to make the Midlet access the internet through the same channel than the browser (I think it's the carriers BIS), instead of the APN.

Please, any help is welcome.
Thanks.
