Default 7100i PTT speakerphone help

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys,

I can't seem to figure out how to keep speakerphone disabled while the BB is in the holster.

I'm trying to prevent "announcements" from my friends over my
speakerphone while its in the holster.

If I put it to vibe-all, then my PTT wont chirp. And if I leave it on "tone", then speakerphone gets disabled and anyone can scream in my speakerphone in the middle of the night!

Any help is greatly greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Wirelessly posted

Its been a while for me and one of these phones, but I'm sure there was a setting under phone, options to set the default speakerphone on or off. You'll still get the chirp but the sound will come from the headset, not the speakerphone.

Hey, thanks for the reply.

Under phone options there is a speakerphone option "on/off", but this gets overwritten when I place the bb into the holster.

My profile for "PTT/GC" is "tone" for both in and out of holster.

If I leave it like this, itll chirp but then ppl can say whatever thru my speakerphone at anytime.

If I leave it to vibe/vibe, then speakerphone stays off, but it wont chirp.

All I want is for it to chirp, but not for the speaker to be on...

Thanks!
