Default 8830 Conferencing Issues

Please Login to Remove!

As many of you know, the 8830 will not allow one to conduct a conference while speaking to a caller with a caller on hold. You have to have one of them hang up and call them back to conference them in. This has been a source of frustration for me as I have numerous conference calls per week and since my previous Blackberry allowed me the option of conferencing in two active calls together.

Is there a software fix available yet or is this something that we'll have to live with? I will make sure in the future that the next version of whatever I get will have this capability whether I have to change to another type of phone or not. I've been a loyal Blackberry user since 2004, but if Blackberry wants to keep loyal customers, they will have to make sure they perform proper QA prior to software release.
