I just got my 8820 and I was charging it all day but I came out today for a couple hours and I already lost 1 bar.

I know it has been charging. It was weird because I was charging via USB on my laptop and it showed the little thunder sign that it was charging, but is the sign supposed to disappear once it is fully charged?

I was thinking of powercycling it hoping that it would help.

I noticed that when I charge with the travel charger that came with the phone, it doesn't show the thunder sign, unless I missed it last night or because it was fully charged since I was charging it with my laptop upstairs.

Any solutions?

The "lightening" symbol should disappear when 100% charged. At least on most themes, I am not sure if that alters on some themes.

And you should have that symbol when charging either on the PC or a wall outlet or auto charger.

Don't "power cycle" it (turning it off and back on), simply remove the battery while powered on, replace and reboot.

Also, check to see if it is 100% charged. Check in your help screen (Alt + Caps + H or Alt +EACE). It will give you the percentage of the battery level.

Well I am on the default 8820 theme and the lightning symbol does seem to disappear. I will be checking that one again tonight when I go home to charge.

When I am charging though, it does say the battery is at 100%.

I've been out for about 3 hours today using JiveTalk, BBM, Facebook (Just to poke people back, nothing major), and just checking email and texts. But I don't think my battery life should already be at 90%...Should it?
