Default Backup files are not valid

Please Login to Remove!

I have an 8830 which goes through the motions of backing up onto my pc, then gives me an error message that the backup files can not be saved. When I look at the file, sure enough it is 0 kb, and if I try to restore it and any parts of it, I get an error message saying it is not a valid backup file.

The files are all .ipd. I uninstalled, then reinstalled the latest version of the desktop desktop manager, but nothing changed with the backup issue.

Can anyone help?

Are you on BES perhaps? If so, could be an IT Policy preventing you from doing that.

If not a BES issue, try a battery pull and reboot before you try to run the backup.
