Default what to do first

I just ordered a 8800c from ebay, and it should arrive in a few days. I got the imei number of the phone from the seller and obtained the unlock code from AT&T already.My question is,once it arrives,should I unlock it first or should I upload the new OS first and then unlock it??

I don't think it matter's but if your not with AT&T you might want to unlock if first.

It makes no difference what you do first. Unlocking takes 15 seconds.

Do you know if the seller has canceled their BIS account and/or removed any IT policies? That would be the place I'd start.
