Default International Tethering

I will be going to Germany for 3 weeks. Is it possible to use my bb over there for connecting my laptop for data? I have a 8830 with an International voice/data plan. I don't want to buy Verizon's International aircard for $130 a month or .002 per KB.

Or is international data roaming on my bb is more expensive.

I bet you can but probably not cost effective. The link you shared above only shows GPRS data. Which in real world means slower than dialup.

I would suggest looking for a local solution.

Tethering does not work over GSM networks on the 8830. WiFi may be a better option or get an international wireless card
