8800 Call Logs Erased Automatically I have my Blackberry 8800 since last month and now the call logs are disappearing automatically. I have set to keep the logs for the longest time, but I still hope to store them forever. I don't want to keep them among the messages. Anybody has any solutions? |
I've searched through Google, and all the others' problems were caused by insufficient memories. But only do the call logs get disappeared, messages are fine. And with my microSD card loaded, I have nearly 20M memory free. |

When internal free memory gets too low (below 12 MB is the danger zone) you may start to lose call logs, calendar entries, and even text messages. Unless you have a currnet backup of your BB they're gone forever. Alt + Shift + H will bring up a screen with free memory listed so you can keep an eye on it and do a battery pull to reset when necessary. |
As the others have mentioned, it's the memory. I remember installing an app which pushed me to like 5 megs free. Everything got wiped. I originally blamed it on the app itself, but I soon realized that any app that size would have done it. |
You can check your memory under options>status |
I think he's talking about the call log page where it only lists the last 20 or so callers. You can view more call logs by going to Messages >Options >View Folder >Call logs. However, even this list only stores the last 30 days and then they are deleted. |
