So i signed up for a blackberry email plan with rogers... it works great...
however it still did not unlock my wifi.... it lights up... but im not allowed to use the browser at all (it always says "unable to connect" probably because I don't have an actual data plan. ) My question: is there any way around this?

Second. is there any way to unlock blackberry maps or download google maps with out a data plan? I'm lost with out a gps! hahah... I had it unlocked with the older blackberry os (4.2?) but with the new one i just can't figure it out :(

Ps. what do you think about the $30 for 6GB data plan that rogers Canada is offering? It looks ok... but ur locked on for 3 years... and im worried technology will change to much.

Nope on the mapping without the Data Plan.

Email plan is email/pin only.

You will not get a "bold" wifi logo. If you want to browse via wifi, you'll need to go to Options >Advanced Options >Browser and set the default browser to "Wifi Browser."
