You're going to need to reload the OS. Might as well load 4.5. Use the method below, though as JL_Cmder won't connect in that state.

2. Change the directory to: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader

If you do not know how to navigate to this directory follow instructions in 2a)
2a)

From C:\ prompt type:

cd Program Files <hit enter>
cd Common Files <hit enter>
cd Research In Motion <hit enter>
cd AppLoader <hit enter>

At this section.
I cannot seem to change the directory

You can get to the root directory (c:\) by typing

cd c:\ <hit enter>

That should make it say:

c:\

Then do the steps as outlined.

Did you get to the command prompt yet? If not, click Start, then Run and in the small dialog that opens up type CMD and click OK. Will get a new window with a black background.

Where in the process are you? It would help if you didn't make us play 20 questions with you.

Yeah, it was quite annoying.. But now so it installed and now it's just on the hour glass.. So I hope this works in the next 45 minutes! (:

It can sit for a while on that hourglass--30 minutes or so isn't uncommon. Just be patient. You'll soon have your BB back.
