Have you managed to get the dongle working with anything? those USB ones are renound for being a pain in the proverbial! Try sending a photo or something small to your BlackBerry first just to make sure it works and to get a pairing sorted.
Usually find you have to fiddle with the port numbers to get the to work properly.
