once battery is removed, then when blackberry is restarted, the time is not correct. It seems when battery is removed, the rtc on PCB stops.
how to fix this problem?
change the battery on the PCB?
are there any informations about 8700 PCB?
I know there is a battery in there but I'm not sure just what it does. One would assume it keeps the time etc. during a battery pull. I've never replaced one, though.
yes,now i'm sure that there is a battery on PCB in 8700 handhold.
and the purpose of this battery is to maintains the RTC(real time clock) on PCB when recharged battery is remove from handhold.
hehe, now I try to replace the small battery by myself.
First of all,I wonder how to replace the battery and where it is.because I can not find it from the 8700 PCB pictures which are posted by other users.
It's a tiny battey and is soldered in. It's not a simple repair, but I'm sure its quite possible.
oh,if so,maybe it is hard work for me to replace it.then i have to turn to special engineers.
oh,I just find the tiny battery on the PCB,maybe it is soldered.
but fortunately,it is bare on the PCB.
you can get it inside of the red rectangle on the picture which I posted.
Ok,I will do it when i have time.
then I will post the result.
