Default returning to the BB world, need some help

Please Login to Remove!

so it's been a couple yrs since my last BB and i definitely feel like a noob all over again.

this time around i don't have an official data plan but am running into some issues w/the lack of a service book for the BB built in browser.

basically there are instances where i'll go into opera mini to try and download a ringtone or a wallpaper image but it'll automatically try to open with the BB browser, which clearly fails every time.

is there any way i can get around this?

thanks in advance.

I believe you may only download OTA to your device with the BB browser. Opera has no means of downloading to your device. And you likely cannot get a browser service book w/o a data plan.

You may be limited to downloading on the PC and transferring via USB cable. Unless you find one of those rare "I got my browser working without a data plan" threads.

i can't tell if you're being sarcastic or hinting that it's possible... =/

The only way to do an OTA is via the BB browser which means you need a BB dataplan. As mentioned above, the work around would be to d/l to the PC and then us DM to transfer to the BB.
