Default How To Get BB to Re-Load 4.5.0.77

Please Login to Remove!

I downloaded 4.5.0.77 and had some issues. Reinstalled 4.2. Since then I have resolved (I think) the issues I was having and wish to re-install 4.5.0.77. How do i get my BB to recognize the newer os for installation. Plugging in BB and opening DM does not help? What do I need to do? 4.5.0.77 OS is currently on my pc.

Did you delete the vendor.*** file? You can try to install it by going directly to apploader and starting the update manually.

Yes deleted the vendor***file. The question I have and actually a few other folks in another thread is what are the specific steps to manually update/upgrade your OS when after opeing DM the update/upgrade does not start automatically? Also I would assume update and upgrade are two different tasks. I am attempting to upgrade from 4.2 OS to 4.5 OS. Thanks in advance.

When I upgraded. I went directly to the application loader on the DM.

Plug your BB into your PC. Open up BDM. Once its open and your PIN displays, click on Application Loader. If you have 4.5 installed already it should display there and you can continue through the upgrade. If its displaying 4.2 when you open App Loader for some reason (it should display the latest you have installed), uninstall 4.2 via your windows control panel and make sure BDM is recognizing 4.5, Help > About Desktop Manager > Device Software.
