Default Syncing, MS Outlook contacts's categories

Please Login to Remove!

Hey everyone -

I'm considering buying a 7100g, but I need to make sure that it will preserve the integrity of my MS Outlook contacts' categories. I have 1500+ contacts stored across two computers (work and home).

When you sync a 7100g with the contacts in your MS Outlook, does it also sync the category information for each contact?

Reason I ask is that I want to avoid the following situation:

1. I sync my future Blackberry with my work computer.
2. The contacts are synced, but the 7100g doesn't hold any of the category information for each contact.
3. Then, I sync my 7100g with my home computer.
4. Because the 7100g's contact info might be "newer", it overwrites the home computer's contacts -- and DELETES all my home computer category assignments for the MS Outlook contacts in the process.

Ideally, the 7100g would retain contacts' category assignments, and serve as a way to sync my home and work computers info (including category assignments for contacts).

Thanks!

Your categories will be kept and synced...as for syncing your berry between 2 computers....there is an option on the software that is installed on your computer to sync...I believe the option says "keep duplicate enteries?" This one can save you much time...also it addresses conflict resolution....so your phonebook is in your hands my friend...
