Default infrared port on 7230

Please Login to Remove!

Hello everybody out there,

it seems i am not able to find how to use the infrared port on the blackberry 7230. I've read the manual (the long one), i've tryed to go through all the options, but no sign from "infrared", but on the device specifications, and the port is up on the handheld right next to the telefon button.

Lets say, i wanna send a contact through a infrared port to another mobile device.

How do i do that?

thanks in advance,

Ljupco Velkovski

There is no infrared hardware in the BlackBerry. There is a small red lens, but no IR hardware or software.

The is no progress to be made. There is no infrared hardware any current BlackBerry. Infrared is extremely insecure and I would not expect it to ever be added to any BlackBerry. Bluetooth is the next best option and the 7230 is not Bluetooth capable.
