I noticed that when my 7100t is locked and I get a phone call it only shows the number of the caller-not the person's name(if its in my address book)-my question is-how can I change it where the phone shows both the name and number or just the name would be good when I get a phone call?

well thats not a way of getting your questions answered by insulting us. Maybe the folks that looked at it didnt know the answer but were looking to see if you had something inteligent to say on the subject. I do know the answer but since you chose to insult this forum find it yourself by doing a search there are many threads on this in this forum.

I don't lock mine, so I see the caller's name. Maybe most people do that, so they don't know how to answer your post.

the question was only up for 5 hours alot of people dont check the forums every ten minutes the guys who could answer your question may not have been in yet they may be in a different time zone.

My caller ID show the name when locked. Not sure what is up with your phone.

Here's hoping that the real power hitters here (Jibi, Dawg, etc.) never answer a question from that a-hole, ever.

Did you read my 2nd post on this thread that after 35 views-that I was amazed nobody even said-hey maybe ask this guy or maybe wait this or wait that? I didnt think so and I had to say what I had to say to get a remark-and look at the remarks it got-allright. And the more things you say to egg this on-what does this prove about the people in this forum-cuz of all the forums I frequent or visited-people helped each other-thats what forums are for-last time I heard.
So no matter what you say-I asked a question that deserved a simple answer. And I voiced my opinion after seeing that 35 not 2,4,6 or even 10 views-35 views and nobody said ANYTHING!! Im sorry that I dont kiss ass and worship the ground that DAWG or jibi walk on like jcoke does-but thats just not my style. I never asked to be worshiped or have my ass kissed those were his own words not mine. Have you ever thought that the 35 people who viewed it could have been the same 10 or so ppl that looked maybe three times to see if someone had answered it yet.

But in answer to your original question you may want to call your carrier and ask them to reprovision you handheld because even locked it should show the person calling.

I have a 7105t, and I'm having the same issue described by the original poster (the Caller ID issue, not the lack of attention issue.) {it's all in jest, don't get too excited.}

My phone is less than a week old, and has the latetest software versions.

Anyone else experience this? Know a fix?
