can email you from just using your PIN number. Is that true? How does that work. I assume you need to first know that persons PIN number.

Sorry.. I new to this blackberry stuff.

yes the PIN is just like an email address but you can use it in the blackberry messenger also.

So I can compose an email and enter a persons PIN number in the email address field and it should go through?

PIN messages only work between two BlackBerry devices. Sorry for stating the obvious.

Gotcha, I did hear that. I looked on the back of my 7100T and didn't see a PIN number. Darn thing has to be somewhere.

Go to Settings>Options>Status and your PIN will magically appear..

mypin reports back the PIN
mynumber reports back the phone number
myver reports back the software version numbers

Keep in mind Cingular does not yet support PIN messaging nor the messenger - but all the others do at this point as far as I know.

you cant pin on cingular? thats the most basic part of the phone OMG I am glad I left them 10 years ago

Untrue about the PIN messaging. I use PIN messaging all the time, first with my 7280 and now with my 7100g. When they start supporting Blackberry Messenger, I'll be happier.
