Default Covering scratches on the 7100t?

Please Login to Remove!

The imaginable happened - was getting out of the car back from a doctor's appointment and the phone did a lapdance (not the kind you think but rather when the phone is on your lap and it slips, falling on the floor) and the phone slipped out of my hand bounced three times on the floor and got a few scratches.

Now I'm really pissed off - has anyone had luck using paint or any other method to cover the scratches? Any suggestions? Alternatively, since I'm retentive and I hate having scratches on a new phone - any idea on whether it would be possible to order a new housing for the phone?

Regards

Are you talking about on the screen too or just on the plastic case? Your best bet is to call whoever you bought the phone from and see if you can talk them into swapping it for you.

Default No, the screen wasnt damaged, but the case has the scratches

I was lucky enought that I installed a screen protector so it was just the casing. Theres only a few scratches but they get on my nerves....

I had some spare screen protectors from a Treo 600 but they're small.

So I found some spare Viewsonic V36 screen protectors made by Belkin. I cut off a little bit off the top of the protector and they cover the whole screen nicely.

NOw, if I can find a paint or some way to cover the scratches on my 7100t... anyone know *if* I can even get my hands on a 7100t housing?

I feel your pain. I was walking into the gym yesterday and pulled my bb7100 out and it slipped right out of my hands and fell onto the concrete and bounced around 3 or 4 times . I was a little upset after that but the scratches are not all that bad I guess I can live with them. I know the phone will get beat up eventually but it was so perfect up until yesterday oh well... But I am going to order some egrips up today so I do not repeat what happened. I also have the insurance on it so I guess if it gets bad enough I can get a new one that way
