More Photo questions

I've read some of the previous responses to photo download questions and they suggest that if I am running 4.0 I will be able to open photos in email attachments to load them into the Blackberry. However while the BB does recognize there is an attachment there is no obvious way to open it and save as with other attachments.

I am on the Cingular network and I am running 4.0...

when you click on the attachment with the tarck wheel is doesnt state open attachment

flemo123 09-15-2005 01:07 PM

Thats correct. There is no option to Open Attachment as with other types of atachment.

make sure that the pic is not embedded in the message and is actually added as an attachment

flemo123 09-16-2005 01:36 PM

The pictures are attachments rather than embedded.

My sw version is v4.0.0.219

Is it possible that this is an earlier version of 4.0 that doesn't support JPG attachments?

that version does.

Same deal here

I have same problem here. I am on the Cingular network connected to a BES Server and cannot see picture attachments. I can see all other attachments i.e. doc, xls, pdf etc. When I highlight attachments I do not see the "Open" option.

Ditto.

If you're on a BES, then the admin can control the attachment file types that are allowed to be opened on any specific device or all devices on the server.
