7100 software upgrade problem
 

Ive done a search and read the threads. either its not covered or I missed it, in which case im sorry.

I have a 7100T that i got from when I worked for T-Mobile. I dont work there anymore and i now have cingular. I wanted to get rid of all the TM customizations and put on Cingulars software. I went and downloaded/installed the desktop 4.0 software, installed the handled 4.0 software, deleted the vendor.xml file, ran the desktop app and did the whole software load. when I boot the handheld, it still has all the TM stuff. It also has all my previous apps, even though Ive selected for them to be removed/not backed up.

Am i missing something?

You can not remove the vendor branding. Vendor software from Cingular will not remove the startup screens from T-Mobile.
