My carrier (Cincinnati Bell) doesn't provide an HTML browser on the 7100G i just bought. They did say if i had a third party browser, that I could use that on the phone. They pointed me to reqwireless.com, but that company looks to be out of business.

Any pointers?

yes reqwireless is no longer available. There are someother browsers out there but havent seen them to tell you anything about them

Also since req is no longer for sale would it be wrong to sk someone who has it to send me a copy?

they still have support going on it only works on one BB at a time since you register your pin with them

Go to the Handango site and look at Minerva. I also have Cinti Bell and that is the one I am using. It is the only one I have found so far.

or select Device: 7100g and then Communications and Internet Browsers. There is a demo for trial purposes. You will have to set the TCP options
(under Settings...Options...TCP) as follows:

APN: wap.gocbw.com
Username for APN: cbw
Password for APN: (just leave this blank)

In my original BB browser, the in the config options, it is set at WML Only, and does not have any options to change to HTML Only or WML and HTML like previous 7100s I have seen.

Does any one know how I can fix this?

Cincinnati Bell - 7100G

Unfortunately, as far as I know, there is no way to change that since Cincinnati Bell Wireless does not yet support html browsing. Tech support says they are "working on it". So for now, you cannot get the CBW supplied browser to do anything but WAP (WML). Your only choice for an html browser that I can find is Minuet at Handango. Those browser settings do not affect the 3rd party browsers, only the CBW default WAP browser.

what is the least expensive plan i can get and be able to pull up html sites. with or without a 3rd party browser

34.99 a month its a 3mb plan but for 10 dollars more you can get unlimited because if you use the bb at all you will max that out in notime. They have a 99.00 a month for unlimited bb and 300 minutes free incoming thats best deal

thats crappy pricing. i have a sidekick with unlimited web and email and 2 way for 29.99 but i am sick of carrying two devices.
