My unit makes a sound when communicating and that's fine but it also makes this same sound when I'm on the phone. It's annoying and makes it hard to hear. Is there a problem with mine or does everyone's do this?

If you did the upgrade, read the posts on the upgrade as others had this problem too. Solution was to remove the battery and reboot. It seems that fixes the problem.
