Default Help! Blackberry 7230

Please Login to Remove!

I just bought a Blackberry 7230 for T-Mobile on Ebay and I got everything working fine. I only have one problem and its very annoying. My display screen is very dim and even if I turn on the backlight it is still hard to see the screen. Do you think my screen is defective?? The battery is fully charged.

Thanks in advace!

Unhappy

Bad News,
Check the Screen Keyboard settings under Options for a contrast option -I think this is only and BW devices though.

Try bringing the device to a T-Mobile store and see if they can work on it, depending on wha tyou are comparing it to it may be functioning normally, they amy have a device to compare it to or, they may even fix itfor you.

Last Chance

I think from the description the 7230 is working perfectly, unfortunately.

The 7290/7250/7520 have enhanced displays which are 10 million times better looking than the previous 7000 series devices.

Just doing a search on this myself
I have a 7290 and recently bought a used 7230 for my wife, but the display is very very bad beside the 7290

Just to confirm, even with the 7230 backlight switched on, should it still be lower than the lowest backlight setting on the 7290?

Yes, almost a pale yellow-green.

For some reason the 7230's have really poor backlights. The 6230's use a similar Indiglo-looking backlight but it's much brighter.
