Default Issue with new 7250?

Please Login to Remove!

My 4 day old 7250 decided to freeze today out of the blue, and to be honest, it has me concerned...

Everything seemed to be working fine until it froze for no apparent reason... I took it out of the holster after i noticed that the LED was solid red, but the screen was completely blank and it just stayed frozen for a bit. Even though a dead battery was unlikely because i never received a low battery warning, i plugged it in and it eventually reset (coincidence?). When it came back up, it showed that i missed a call and had a voicemail (it never rang), and the battery still had plenty of juice left. Anyways, the 7250 is pretty cool, but this freeze thing worries me because it's brand new, wasn't cheap, and I need reliability because it's my only phone. Any ideas or comments? I need to decide whether or not to keep it while I'm within the 15 days.

Fortunately, I haven't had that experience. I have had times where I've plugged in a nearly dead BB to charge and the power meter immediately jump up and seem to have much more charge than it really did. The freezing problem is new to me.

My BB 7250 has froze and reset a few times since March of this year. Usually it happens when I use a bluetooth headset. It can be frustrating when you're on a call, and it takes a few minutes for the device to reset. Nonetheless, I find the device far more stable than other smartphones and PDA's I've used (Treo, Tungsten, Palm, etc).

Thanks for the replies. Any other comments? I'm really liking the 7250, but am still worried about the early lockup.

Have you two guys downloaded the latest 7250 HANDHELD code - not the Desktop Manager code, for your BlackBerrys. It should be on your carrier's web site. Download it and I bet is has the modem drivers there.

If you haven't done so, please read [User] HOWTO: Use BlackBerry As Modem For Laptop! - and read the entire thread. I am not sure anyone has gotten a 7250 to work as a modem.

Before you waste a lot of time, please consider that.

I have a new 7250 (replaced my old 7750).
I can't seem to make it display both email and SMS messages at the same time. I'm always having to click 'view folder' and switch. Didn't have to do this on the old unit. I've tried all kinds of option resetting. HELP!!!
