Problems with downloading email but not sms messages
 

I am in Houston and thought I was having problems with email because of the hurricane but talked to a few co-workers and they are having no problems.

I am getting SMS messages but am not getting email messages. I already called my company's helpdesk and they told me to take the battery out and see what happens. I am still not able to get messages. It says GPRS at the top in all caps. I should be able to sendout but I am not able to do that either. It gives me an orange X and says "Transaction error - timout"

Is there any way to solve this on my own.
