Default 7290 baclight question

Please Login to Remove!

when it is dark or dim in a room, it would be nice if, when I scrolled, the screen lit so I could choose what I want to do, hitting the backlight button first seems like an extra step. Is there a setting or a shortcut I am missing?
Thanks

You aren't missing anything. For additional backlight functionality, check out BBLight.

Welcome to the forum, you should become familiar with the FAQ's/Stickies and the search. They are your friends! Download BBLight/BBWeather/BBToday/BBReply binaries (GPL source code included!)

Thanks for the help, sorry for not digging for the answer, I really did not think it would be part of another program. Do you have to install the whole suite to get BBlight and the shortcuts or can I choose the apps. I want?

It is a standalone program!
Go to this thread (I used the search command to find it): Download BBLight/BBWeather/BBToday/BBReply binaries (GPL source code included!)

Download ONLY BBLight
Unzip it
Start Desktop Manager and Application Loader
Add it in

Thanks in advance

I do not have an OTA link; it is open source and I am not sure there is one.

There is no IR circuitry on any BlackBerry. Some have a little red lens, but there is no IR circuitry.

I love this utility. Been using it for about 2 weeks now and is very useful. got annoyed with having to press the backlight every time.

I have a question about the pollint time.. should it be left at the defailt 1000ms or changed?

Thanks in advance... shane

I was doing a search but couldn't turn anything...did anyone ever edit and create a bblight that turned the light on to max instead of the one that originally came out that only turned on to the mid setting? Not absolutely necessary, but I like the extra brightness.
