Default 7100t Modem Problem After Upgrade

Please Login to Remove!

I preveiouslty had the modem feature working with my 7100t. However, afte reinstalling the desktop software, I could not connect. Then, afte upgrading from version 3.x to 4.0.1, I don't even see a modem to use. Has anyone else had this problem? I don't seem to see any othe posts about disappearing modem.

If you haven't already done so, upgrade your desktop manager to v4.0 (you can 4.0.33 from T-Mobile or 4.0.1 from Blackberry directly). In either case after you do the install if the modem still doesn't work, use the Add/Remove programs function and run a repair on the desktop manager installation. On the 4.0.1 version at least, this is a known issue and is documented in the installation notes.

I actually had the 4.0.1 installed and that's what was not working. I removed that and installed 4.0.33 which seems to work fine. Thanks for the help.

Did you read the release notes? The resolution is documented there.
