Default Desktop Manager Not Working

Please Login to Remove!

I am able to open the desktop manager (DM) under IE Vista and make connection to my Sprint 8703e, but I cannot open the DM to click on backup and restore, etc because backup and restore option does not appear.

What I mean is that I can open the DM, but the options do not appear at all. There is very little I can do with the DM such as getting help and close.

My DM version is 4.2.

Try a newer version of Desktop Manager.

Also, is there any IT policy on your 8703e? Look in Options >Security Options >General Settings. Scroll down to the bottom and look for any reference to IT Policy.

Default Thanks, John Clark

I downloaded DM 4.3 according to Latest OS:8703 by Kormac from above. I uninstalled my DM 4.2 before downloading DM 4.3. Kormac's link showed DM 4.3 as the latest version. When I downloaded DM 4.3, I did not uninstall my OS 4.2.1.110 because I had planned to keep it, but it was uninstalled automatically (SMILE). So I had to download OS: 4.2.1.119 also.

Wow! There is a big difference between DM 4.3 and 4.2. I clicked on upgrades on DM 4.3 and found that there are DM 4.4, 4.5, 4.6 and 4.7. John, can you tell me what are the differences for 4.4, 4.5, 4.6 and 4.7? I assume that they are for different Blackberry devices. I am now happy with DM 4.3, but I am curious if the other versions would work with my Sprint
8703e.

It took a long time to install both DM and OS, but my BB now works. Thanks a lot, John.

Wirelessly posted (BB 11020)

You can use the latest, 4.7 with any device.
