I've a 7100v model. Unfortunatelly , I forgot the Password for it. There is not a SIM card inside, so I need the pasword for phone. The message displayed on power on is:

You can try entering a password incorrectly until the unit wipes itself, then reload the SW. The data will be gone, but I think (if I recall correctly) it will ask you for a new password.

Vodophone must provide software for the device somewhere on their web site. I don't know where -- its not my carrier.

Well with the 7100 I could see it happenning. Can't you really be sure what it thought you typed?

its shows you each letter breifly...you just have to be careful...

it's also hard to remember the password if you found/stole it!

if it's really your BB then just enter the password in wrong 3 more times and let it wipe the memory...then just reinstall the software and restore your last backup file...

I didn't want to be the first to suggest it...

Bit hard to install the software with no CD and cables i bet too
