Default Hotmail on Blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

I have been trying to figure out how to use hotmail on the bb as it is the main reason why I got it in the first place. My provider, T-Mobile says it doesn't work with hotmail. Then I'm encouraged by forwarding hotmail to my work address which is working with my blackberry.

My question is, how do you forward emails on hotmail? Specific instructions would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, Hotmail does not forward the way Gmail does. And given the deals Yahoo seems to have made with T-Mobile and RIM, I doubt T-Mobile has any plans to allow Hotmail integration.

My suggestion is to migrate to either Gmail or Yahoo, and to use a forwarding program during the migration. (By forwarding program, I mean one of those apps that runs on your computer, periodically checking for new Hotmail and then forwarding new messages to your BB (or some other acct that forwards to your BB)).

I personaly have had no problems with me hotmail running on my BB, but if you get spam in it, then it shows up. It can get annoying on days I get a few spams.

Hotmail will work as long as you purchase their premium service.

Default Hotmail on Blackberry

its my yahoo acct that gets all the spam, my hotmail stays pretty clean.
so how do set up the yahoo filter to just let a few specific senders get forwarded to the bb? tmobile's latest notice made it sound like I can do this without paying yahoo the $20/mo.

T-Mobile doesn't poll for Hotmail even if you have a premium account. And for other providers, you don't need a premium account if you have a Hotmail account that's more than a year or so old.

As for spam, Hotmail seems to be doing a remarkably better job than even a few months ago. The new Yahoo-TMO deal sounds intriguing; looking forward to testing it out in a few days.

Dawg, have you checked your Hotmail junk mail folder? That's where a lot of messages from these major providers wind up.
