USB connection broken on 8830 --need to transfer contacts

Have received a replacement 8830 and need to transfer contacts (about 2500) to new phone. 80% of address book is in outlook, but not many of my newer ones. My USB connection on my old 8830 is broken so I cannot do a sync to update contacts. Any ideas on a "work-around" to accomplish this?

Bluetooth.... Set it up and perform wireless sync.
You will need a bluetooth radio on your desktop for this though.

You will need to pair the laptop and the blackberry using the operating system on the laptop. Once paired in the OS, then you can setup bluetooth in desktop manager.
Again, if your laptop is not bluetooth ready, you would need to use a bluetooth key or something similar. You can get one for 20 or 30 bucks or so I believe.

After spending all day on the phone with Verizon and RIM yesterday, it was evident that I cannot pair the Blackberry 8830 with my Dell Latitude D430 via the bluetooth connection. The bluetooth device on the 8830 is only compatible with Microsoft's Bluetooth Stack driver. Dell uses their own driver, because the bluetooth device built into the Latitude D430 is not compatible with Microsoft's driver. At the present time, Dell does not have a "work around" available to allow the Microsoft driver to be used with their bluetooth device.
I just looked at that -- sent Google Sync download info to my phone. When I started it, the software wanted to make a bunch of changes to my phone, with which i am not comfortable. It's a business phone -- my IT dept might not like it if I made any messes they had to clean up.
No, we are not set up on a BES. I understand that would be the best way to get my contacts, but not possible. I'm not sure why.... I work for a very large manufacturer, with hundreds of these same phones and laptops in use.

I just spoke to my boss. He has had the same issue with his 8830 so he went to a Verizon store today to do a warranty exchange. A technician transferred the contacts via bluetooth out of his old phone into a Motorolla PDA, then to his new phone. I wish one of the Verizon people I had talked to knew this.
My husband has a new Dell handheld computer "toy"-- he's trying this same process right now. I'll post if this works. If not, I'm going to a different Verizon store in my area and see if they can do this for me.
