Hey.

Been messing with a new 8830 and I can not edit the profiles for certain notifications. I can change the Calendar and Browser, but not the Level 1 Messages or the Messages[Desktop] ones.

Any ideas?

I had problems and had to restore my profile backup. I inherited the problem by importing ringtones.

It was a clean install to a wiped handheld.... oh well. Guess I found a showstopper in 4.5. Back to 4.2.2 for me.

I've heard of some people having this very issue. Simple work-around for now, rather than having to downgrade, is to create a new ring profile and modify those settings, vs. trying to modify a RIM supplied profile.

I tried that. Even with the new profile I could not edit those particular items..... I don't know if it bases it off the default profile or what. Weird!
