Default 8700c General Annoyances - Is there a workaround?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello everyone. Purchased a 8700c off Ebay and I've been futzing around with it a little. It's been a great phone and it works just like I want it to, besides a few annoyances.

1.) When the phone is in the holster, occasionally when I get a call and attempt to pull the phone out of the holster, it drops the call. (Phone is set to lock in holster.)

2.) When the phone is in the holster and I'm using my bluetooth earpiece to answer the call, the call goes fine, and then randomly it will drop the call. (Probably due to it locking while in holster.)

3.) When I'm talking on my bluetooth module, and the phone is out-of-holster, why can't I lock the phone or place it in the holster without dropping the call? It seems pretty weird to me that I can't holster or lock the phone when I have a bluetooth unit attached.

I am using the newest Blackberry software listed at the top of this forum. (Upgraded from the AT&T branded Blackberry software, which had the same problems.) Am I doing something wrong, or is something configured incorrectly, or is this just how the phone works?

Thanks for any help!

Edit: I also had one more quick question. Since I updated to OS 4.5, the old Blackberry browser is no longer there. Is there a way to get this installed again? (It is not hidden in the menu, I made sure. :P)

As far as the browser, resend your service books.

I had tried that before with no luck. Did a re-send and a battery pull this morning with still no luck on getting the original Blackberry browser. I have the Cingular browser, though. It's not a huge deal, but I was hoping to get it back. ;)
