Default need to sync my 8700g..... help......

i have searched the forum and didn't got any satisfactory answers...
so here is mine goes.

i own a bb8700g and how can i sync my doc & xls file to and from pc...
i have downloaded BB Desktop Manager 4.5 without multimedia........

so what other tools or software's i need ..
i am from symbian background

Those file types do not sync as far as I know. You will probably need to email them as attachments to get them to the device. You will need OS 4.5 with DocsToGo or a 3rd party app such as eOffice to open/edit those files. Also, keep in mind that memory on an 8700 is limited.

You dont have to mail them. Desktop 4.5 comes with Roxio media manager. You create a directory in memory using this app and drag and drop your files in. You can pick them up from a reader on the device afterwards (docs2go et al)

The REAL problem is the absence of an expandable memory slot on the 8700. Any files you save take up space you cant afford..

The OP mentioned he uses Desktop 4.5 without multimedia. The Roxio media manager mentioned comes with the multimedia build of 4.5.

You can copy using media manager but I don't think they sync

What exactly do you mean by "sync"? They are visible from the the phone and/or third party apps.

oh, you need to and FROM synchronization. I misunderstood you. Then i believe Dubdub is correct.
