Default Embarrassing question from newbie

Please Login to Remove!

I have an 8707 that I thought was unlocked. I put in my SIM card and the phone and SMS work fine, but it says "data connection refused" I had my simcard in a Nokia 3109 Classic and had no problem accessing the internet. Does anyone know what the issue is? Please help.

Thanks

Wirelessly posted (8320 Titanium)

You need a blackberry data plan it sounds like...not just a generic internet plan you would have had with your other phone...

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

Without an appropriate data plan, you are bit limited. No dumb questions here.

Interesting, i would think that the internet functions would carry over to the blackberry, but i guess not. Oh well, but its not locked though right?

Nope; if it was locked, voice and SMS wouldn't work.
