BB WAP/internet access on China Mobile
 

Hello everyone,

just got a bb7100T and trying to get internet or wap access to work on China Mobile. Right now, I see lowercase 'gprs', and I do not have BES/MDS.

I called China mobile (have data enabled on my account) and they gave me the following params for WAP access:

APN: cmwap
usr/pwd: [blank]
IP Gateway: 10.10.10.172
port: 9201
homepage: wap.monternet.com

I have set the APN in the TCP applet, however, I cannot set the IP Gateway/Port. When researching the problem, I realized that I do not have a 'WAP Transport' service book on my handset, and they say "contact the operator" to resolve this problem.

Unfortunately, I don't think China Mobile can get me the WAP Transport, and I will not be in the US for awhile. Any suggestions for WAP or Internet?

Not really able to answer your question, but perhaps you can answer mine -- what number did you call to contact China Mobile. I have been trying to get support from them and the only number I find online is to thier marketing group.
