Default Verizon 8830

I bought a 8830 from someone local on Craigslist yesterday. I was able to port the phone over into my name succesfully and it works as a phone and blackberry. However, whoever I bought it from must have had this installed on an enterprise server. I have to use a password to log into this Blackberry after 2 minutes of idle time. I can't disable the password feature as it has a small Red lock symbol next to the Enable/Disable screen under:
Options>Security Options>General Settings

Verizon after 45 minutes on the phone told me there was nothing they could do and that I needed to get in contact with whom I bought it from. Thats not going to happen it appears........

So, what can I do? This password thing is annoying!
