I have a 8700g with T-mobile. I'm having issues with sending sms to non t-mobile users.I can receive their sms but they cannot receive mine. I'm able to send and receive with T-mobile and international carriers. When I use my sim card with another T-mobile phone I do not have this issue, so it has to be something I'm missing in my phone. I have tried wiping out my device, installing a new handheld software but all the efforts are not resolveing the issue thus far. Does anybody know how to resolve this? Did you send Service Books from your BIS after wiping device?

What message do you get when the sms fails?

I actually I figured it out. I went to Options-SMS text, then changed "network to send over" to PS Preferred, and now I can send and receive to/from all carriers. Originally when I upgraged the software it defaulted to CS which resulted into the problems our having even though it showed that messaged were sent. Resending service book without changing this didn't help.
