Talking 7100i completely nuked...

Ok well this happend a little less than 8 months ago but here we go...
I was working in a chevy dealership detailing cars, water puddles everywhere (yea you all can see where this is going) i was talking to this one girl while she was in her car, we said our goodbyes and my luck the blackberry holster caught onto the door jamb, did a summer sault all the way down into a 4 in deep puddle of water. I screamed like someone just threw a kid off a cliff and i went down to pick it up it was vibrating like it was having a massive seizure. I quickly pulled the battery out and let it sit in my car with the windows down to let it dry off... well i waited a few days (i completely took every screw out of it.. completely disassymbled).. so a few days later completely dry, i'm thinking all is well. battery goes in red light appears on for a few seconds.. white screen is up for about 7 seconds then i get "Device Error:395 Reset." it stays like that until i click the track ball and it does a never ending cycle..
... and 8 months later it still does it.. i called Nextel(aka sprint now) they berely speak english and tell me im on crack (my own words) and say blah blah blah it will be 500 for a new phone.. so i quickly cancelled my service

but i had bought another phone(i forget the number of it) dropped the phone in a 5 gal bucket let it dry and it still works to this day

Is there any way to get the blackberry workin or should i just throw it in traffic or use it as a paper weight? lol

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

In BBFAQ, search "blackberry wet"

One apprpach is to take the battery out and place the device in a sealed bowl of rice and leave in warm area for a few days.
For me, the best solution was to use my insurance and get another phone.

Nextel's new BB is so much better than the 7100i but I have to say probably around the same time you had a mishap with yours my 2 year old daughter dropped mine into a glass of water. After drying for 24 hours it worked just fine. I was 100% sure I'd end up replacing it. I do keep insurance on my phones because with kids you never know what will happen. I just got my 8350i the other day and was so happy to retire the 7100i because it was starting to be a pain with the radio turning off and fun stuff like that!
