Default 8700v Connection issue

Hi,

I am new to all this, and just about to start developing a blackberry specific website.

I tried accessing a Word document on my development server, which didn't seem to work, so I simplified it by trying to access a very simple HTML document in the server's root (Apache/htdocs/blackberry_test.html), which also didn't work. I recieved a "HTML Error 400: Bad Request" instead of the HTML page.

I then copied that HTML document over to my production server, added it to the same directory, and from there I was able to access the HTML file.

I don't know if this problem is coming from my servers, or the Blackberry. The only possible reason for this I can think of could be that on my development server, I am not trying to access the standard HTML port (:80), although the port I am trying to access has been set up for access from the Internet, and works when viewed in Firefox/I.E/etc.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jason
