Default Google SMS

Please Login to Remove!

I just discovered this:

http://www.google.com/sms/

Pretty cool way to use up my unlimited SMS messages.

its cool if you don't have a browser, but with one I'd rather go to:
http://wap.google.com/wml
or
http://www.google.com/ie

I find the browser takes way to long, so I prefer the sms for the quick things it can do.

Yes, this is a very useful feature for those who don't have a BB. Since we're all BB users, I think the Berry 411 app is a much better way to go. It's an app that allows you to enter your search criteria and it passes the criteria to the web browser; which then retrieves the results from Google Local. This is actually faster than manually navigating to Google's site and executing the search.

Since I've installed Berry 411, I haven't used Google SMS. Besides, I hate having to remember the Google SMS syntax...

Google SMS apparently can't reply to me because I ported my mobile # from Sprint, and they have a problem with ported numbers. It's been 4 days since port, maybe it will start to work eventually. SMS works with other services.

If you continue to have issues with using Google SMS, go with Berry 411 application I mentioned in my earlier post - same search results as SMS but better because you get the full search results rather than 1 - 3 results provided by Google SMS.

Default 411 is an incredible app but...

Google SMS, once you learn the keywords has access to a much broader range of information.

Default Ported Sprint Phone Number

My number was ported over from Sprint as well, and I have not had a problem using the GOOGLE SMS feature. I know it doesn't help you solve your problem, but I figured I'd share that info...maybe you could find the real cause of the problem.
