Default Displaying birthdays

Please Login to Remove!

I just bought a 7100T and I'm curious if theres any software out there that will display birthdays on my home screen. I have Pocketday installed but don't see this as an option.

I'm on a Mac and I use entourage as my calender. Some of my contacts have birthdays entered, some don't. I would love to be able to see upcoming birthdays in my calender and also have it displayed on my home screen on the day of the birthday. Is this possible without going in and making each contact with a birthday an appointment or task so it shows up?

Thanks and these forums are great!!

The native address book doesn't have a field specifically designated for birthdays, so I'm not very optimistic. Not that this makes your wish impossible -- the app could ask users to map the birthday field to one of the open user-defined fields -- it just seems unlikely given the current state of BB apps.

Have you looked for any utilities on the Entourage side of the equation? There might be something out there that extracts dates from contact entries and converts them into calendar entries -- if not in Entourage, then maybe in another PIM to which you can sync.

After a closer look in entourage, I was able to make each birthday it's own event rather easily. This looks like about the only way to do what I want.
