Default Upgraded 7100t from 3.8 to 4.0 - IM listed @ 3.8, is that right?

Please Login to Remove!

All apps are at a 4.0 level or higher, but IM lists at 3.8. Is that right?

the IM client that is pushed OTA by TMO is 3.8, yes. they have a 4.0 client that is available for the 7290 page, although they plaster disclaimers all over.

Default My IM Client is 4.1.7

And it now has MSN! (AIM, ICQ, MSN, and Yahoo)

Re-register and see if the service books come back down.

And now it looks like you can finally turn off the sounds, per IM client.

I have 4.0.2.49 software on my 7100t and the IM client is now 4.1.7. It does AOL,MSN,ICQ and Yahoo. You have to delete the service books for IM Client and delete Instant Messaging under Applications, reboot, then do a register now after the reboot. It should load a new IM client OTA.

does this work if you already downloaded the upgrade?
If yes-all I have to do is delete the IM under apps, reboot by taking off batt-putting it back on? And that thing about registering now-is that with the IM client?

Thanks,
PD

delete the service book first. then delete the app which will require a reboot. then go to settings then Host Routing Table then click on any of the ones listed and select Register.
