Default phone log truncation upon upgrade to 7105t/OS4

I recently upgraded to 7105t from 7100t, and as a consequence moved from OS 3.8 to the last 4.0 version. I noticed that when I look at the call log and "open" one of the numbers in recent calls, most of the call history for that person has disappeared. For example, I had 486 calls logged to one person on my old 7100t/operating system and once I switched over, it only kept the last 2 months of calls. I tried to restore the whole call log by doing a selective restore with the desktop software, and it looked like that restored the whole record of 486 calls. But, as soon as I made a new phone call, the old call records were purged, and the phone went back to storing only the last 2 months of call records. So I'm thinking there must be some kind of limitation on call logging built into either the new OS or hardware, but I can't find any option that will let me increase the number of days logged (it always defaults to 2 months).

Does anyone know how to change the number of days calls are logged or have some othe type of workaround that will let me keep the log of all my calls, and not only the last 2 months worth?
