Default 7100 Bluetooth Issue

Please Login to Remove!

I need some help. I have searched the forum and can't find a solution.

I have a 7100G that is having BT issues. A couple of weeks ago I bought a Motorola HS850 headset and it was working fine. I was able to pair and my BB was able to see the device.

Currently I have BT enabled and see the logo in the upper right of the phone, if I go to the bluetooth tab in options it does not see any paired devices. If I do a search it does not find any "new" devices. If I open or turn on my headset, the BB will quickly recognize it, and it flashes the enter passkey window and then it dissapears.

Here is what I have done.

1. I have wiped the handheld. Same problem exists.
2. I have disabled, re enabled bluetooth, same problem exists.

Is this a headset issue? or is this a problem with my battery on the phone?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to re-pair the headset. Put it into pairing mode before telling the Blackberry to add a new device.

I have done that as well. It still tells me that there are no new devices found.

Be sure to close the headset microphone and compact the headset, press and hold the call button for 3 to 5 seconds or until the blue light comes on solid. Then while still holding that button, open up the headset to its full extendability. Then click add device and it will search, it should find it. I hope atleasy, if it doesn't I dont know because I never had that problem besides just not pairing it right.

I have done that as well. In fact when I do open the headset the BB quickly displays the "enter passkey for Motorola HS850" window and then it goes away before I can enter 0000 passcode. I thought by doing a wipe all memory of any paired devices would go away but that did not work.

Help!

In applications Bluetooth delete the device you have there. THen disable the bluetooth, save and turn the BB off. Take the battery out for a few minutes. Put the battery in, start the device, start the radio(the tower icon) then go into applications, bluetooth, enble the bluetooth if it did not enable itself when you turned it on again, and then try the pairing again.

Thumbs up

follow these steps as it worked for me. you are reseting the headset

1. plug your charger in with the headset attatched

2. while it is plugged in (the outlet), unplug the headset (just the headset part) and connect the headset. (do this 5 times)

3. after you accomplish this then go ahead and follow the steps to pair your headset to your device.

this works.....good luck
