Default Permission to dial?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all. My company just upgraded the BES (don't know what version) but ever since then whenever I use the PocketDay quick-dial feature I get a prompt asking me if I want to "allow the application to make the phone call". Anyone else face this and know how to stop the prompting??

Thanks in advance -

It's a Pocket Day feature, AFAIK. I thought it inconvenient at first, but it means that I do not have to lock the keypad anymore. I don't know any way to disable it.

gregg,

It's not a PocketDay feature. It's a setting on your BlackBerry policy that probably got pushed to your device as a part of the upgrade. Your IT guys can turn it off.

Hmm. I'll check with my IT guys, but I did not have it happen before I installed Pocket Day. If I turn off PD, and push any of my speed dial buttons set in the BlackBerry, it does not happen. If I have PD on and push any of my speed dials, which I have set IN PD, then it happens. I don't really see how it could be anything else but PD. I set the speed dials in PD to match the BB ones....

Again, PD accesses the Phone API. If your BB policy says so, the BB itself will bring up permission dialogs based on these. The APIs are controlled by the BB OS. There is permissioning that the BB policy has control over.
