Installed 4.5.0.135 on 8830 WE (Verizon) and everything going OK.
Accidentally deleted BBerry Maps, which was working with the GPS.
Reinstalled it via download to DM (Version 1.2) but the option to work with GPS is now gone ?
How can I reinstall the BBerry Maps app that used the internal GPS ?
Do I need to reinstall the entire OS again ?
During the install, does it allow the option to just add this application ?
I have used Google Maps, with cell location, and was going to delete that to free up some memory.

Options -> Advanced Options -> GPS make sure it's turned on

GPS Data Source = Device GPS
GPS Services = Location ON

Hmm Interesting have you done a battery pull or re-sent the service books since the upgrade? You can resend the service books from the Email Setup icon or from your BIS site/account.

Yep... did a couple of battery pulls since the upgrade...
Have sent the service books, and getting my BIS email all ok.

The interesting thing is that yesterday, I was using by BBerry Maps app with GPS ... really quite cool, although a little slow.

I decided this morning to delete google maps, as after testing that app, it didn't use the GPS, but still used the cell towers.

As I went through the apps on the BBerry I accidentally deleted the wrong one.

Then I looked far and wide to find where I could download the BBerry maps app as a single download. Tried that, but once working, there was no GPS option anymore ?

I upgraded to 4.5 and as a result GPS worked on BB Maps (but not Google Maps). But, it only worked for a few hours, then stopped, and when I checked the Advanced Options for GPS, I got a one-time message that said "Your Device GPS service has been remotely disabled." I assume that Verizon was able to detect my usage of the GPS service and since I don't pay for the VZ Navigator service they cut me off!

This also happened to me.
I'm with Verizon, and now I see the issue.
It did work for about 48 hours.
I thought it was to do with the re-installation of BBerry Maps, but not I piece this all together, it looks like Verizon can disable this remotely.

- Very frustrating.

What version of BB Maps are you trying to use? did you remove the Vendor file?
